I'm here after 1++ year as I got inspired today ... Was helping out as a facil for Wide Game along with a particular CFC for LTC'13, and we talked about many stuff. Stuff that ... brings back sweetest memories of in NY.
I don't know where to start and whether this post will be coherent enough, but blargh I'm just gonna zam what comes to my mind!
Look at us being young back then!
My first memory would be the 102 Guides hahaha yes you five. I remember Belle coming to our classroom every morning and we'd do crazy stuff together, like commanding ourselves and taking uhh weird photos together. That was the year I nearly lost faith in ourselves, the year that I was still drifting along like a maple leaf in the middle of Singapore River.
But you guys forgave me and I continue to float slowly towards a bunch of other different leaves.
Somehow, the many different leaves came together to form a mosaic of a masterpiece.
I love our mini outings here and there. Lunches @ KAP (I remember Hannah treating us after Talenttime'09), Clementi (during one of the Musical days), Carl's Junior (to make Freddie for Farewell'11) and many more ...

How we found out that Roselyn was the missing person when we played bonding games. How seniors tricked us by holding our hands instead. The ehpic struggle between Gwendelyn and the muted ones. Clarice blowing into our ears. Angel and Mortal system!
How could I miss getting our Guide U hahaha HQ still amazes me, somehow. I remember being determined to get two sleeves full of badges but argh at least I tried.
Anyway ...
4 Campfires per year hoho does this seem familiar? Going to other schools to observe their campfires and at the same time getting closer to our batchmates ...
Packing Guides Rm was another memorable thing as well. Discovering little treasures and rearranging everything neatly gave me a sense of accomplishment after that day. Seeing the one room that belonged solely to us all cleaned up and ready for use in the future is really ... fulfilling.
The evvvilness is near.
Mass phototaking sessions. Monologues.
Cookies. 5 tins. $10-turned-$12 per tin.
Going for the Pioneering Badge was one unforgettable milestone. I remember being on the verge of insanity when my firelighting was really out of the radar. Then Ashleigh and Sarah cheered me up by offering your homemade tea XD Ahhh, the times we raced against time and challenged our abilities to the extreme, and then the big truth was revealed, I remembered we were speechless yet relieved for the actual thing. The whole thing was just full of unexpected events that challenged our adaptive skills. But if I were to choose a Badge I'd have the fondest memory of, it would be this. =)
I remember our seniors commented that our "Peace by the River" was sang very well even though it was like at 4959056 bpm. And Banana Song ohman. And awesome campfire with awesome emcees and shuffling and dancing and acting and singing.
Saikang for Open House and CCA exhibition, and people would come for our marshmallows because we are nice like the delicacy.
ATC A11TITUDE. The way we rolled the campfire stand back, the way we wash our hands, the way we made cordial.
FC selection and footdrill sessions. Let's just say that I remember our batch being solid, 1) 'cause our footdrill standards improved leaps and bounds compared to our sec 1 selves, 2) we were practically vibrating like molecules in a solid and trying so hard not to burst out laughing.
And then sometimes after CCA sessions we'd buy ice cream / drinks / play captain's ball XD
Then ... Super8. Yeah you guys. Even though my PGA journey was really short, I enjoyed the times we stayed together, studied together, and laughed together. Remember how we were all blur bananas when we crept out of the canvas tent in the morning of a school day? Shocked the people who were staying in the classroom we conveniently used as our holding area.
Well you all know Nardine is out best friend.
And how we'd test each other WAGGGS stuff that I've unfortunately returned back to the Guiders.
Parade memories ... It was tough, yeah, but it was really good to feel one with everyone.
SKZ! Thank you all for Amazing Race mannn haha that was another milestone for me. =)
And not to forget Shuhui, awesome Mg-er and thanks for helping me out with all the admin stuff for our patrol! And MgOs too haha wheeeeee Mg'12 (^^)
The fruit of our labour? Double Gold.
That of course has to be attributed to our dear ASTAR =D

All in all ... thank you for the memories, batchmates. I can't bear to call my current CCAmates batchmates 'cause I wanna save this special term for the special bunch of us ... and being in my current CCA feels really, really different from Guides. The disciplinary part is different, the sense of urgency I was used to was gone, and the looking-forward-to-Fridays feeling is also diminishing. Those 4 years have been great because of you guys. =')
No matter what CCA we are all in, I hope that there bowline that ties us all together will remain intact and never break.
